DUMONTIS LICENSE MANAGER ADD-IN
The Dumontis License Manager is a lightweight Excel add‑in that checks whether the Microsoft 365 user signed into Excel is allowed to run specific Codification tools. It prevents unauthorized distribution, keeps access controlled inside your organisation, and ensures that only approved users can open and use the tools and the data contained within them. The add‑in is macro‑free, transmits only the signed‑in account ID for verification, and never accesses workbook content or any other customer data. It is designed for straightforward, IT‑friendly deployment through the Trusted Catalog or the Microsoft Marketplace.
The Dumontis License Manager provides a simple, consistent way to control who can use our tools inside your organization. It prevents unauthorized distribution, ensures that only approved users can open the tools and see the data contained within them, and gives teams a clear mechanism to keep access aligned with internal roles and responsibilities.
The add‑in reads the Microsoft account currently signed in and checks with the Dumontis license server whether that user is allowed to run a specific tool. If access is granted, the tool opens normally; if not, it remains locked. License activation and provisioning happen on the backend — the add‑in only verifies access and never interacts with workbook content.
The add‑in is macro‑free and designed for IT‑friendly deployment. It transmits only the signed‑in Microsoft account ID for verification and does not access or send any workbook data. All checks are lightweight, secure, and use standard Excel add‑in mechanisms. Deployment can be done via trusted catalog or through the Microsoft Marketplace.
